Brief Answer: Upper respiratory tract infection Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query. I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through. Upper respiratory tract infection is a infection involvimg nose and throat and can be sometimes very distressing. It mostly occurs cause of viral infection but soke times can occur due to bacterial infection as well. It wiol require an antibiotic like cefexime 200mg twice a day with crocin 500mg twice a day. Cetrizene 5 mg will take care of the blocked nose. Drink plenty of water and do warm saline gargles atleast 3 times a day. This will take around 3 - 5 days to heal so be patient. Hope I am able to answer your concerns. If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you. I had a throat infection more than 6 months ago and my local clinic had no idea what it was and how it was caused so they gave me penecilin as the antibiotic to get rid of the white patch beside my tonsils. I look in the mirror today and a small spec of white has arrived again. When I swallow I can feel that something is there as if there is a chunk of food stuck but it is the white patch. There is no pain and no irritation whatsoever, but I can notice it there. I have been actively performing oral sex to my girlfriend, which may be the primary cause. Currently, she may have a yeast infection on the outer area of her vagina as well (we dont know...small red spot, size of a pea but no swelling or rising). If it is a yeast infection, could it have possibily carried on to my throat? And what medications should I take to cure the white patch? Thank you.

I started using a CPAP machine several months ago. Shorty after I developed a cough and excessive phlegm, diagnosed with pharyngitis and treated with antiobiotics, took 3 weeks to go away. During this time, I did not use the CPAP. When I started the machine again (after cleaning it thoroughly per instructions), the same symptoms returned. What s happening?
