Hello, xxxxxxx,
I gather from your short history, that you are experiencing
pressure sensation on the right side of your abdomen.
This could mean a lot of different things. First of all, the
duration of this (How long have you had this ), any radiaiton
the pain, like travelling to the back or shoulder, if there is any
nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, fever, chills etc.
Does the pain come on before or after meals , and if this
happens once every few weeks or months, any loss of weight
or loss of appetite, any change in the color of the stool, any
family history of gallbladder disease or bowel cancer, we need
all these to correctly assess the situation.
The right upper quadrant is in the viscinity of gallbladder, liver.
the part of the large bowel that is close to the liver called the
"Hepatic Flexure", lower part of the right lung and rib cage
along with nerves and chest wall muscle.
If you have had any complete blood work done, including
complete blood count, metabolic panel that includes kidney,
liver, thyroid, lipid levels, electrolytes, protein levels etc.
A chest x-ray, sonogram of the gallbladder and liver may be
helpful.
In addition to all of these, if you are on any medications we
should know. Any allergy to particular food or drink and
also if you have excess gas problem like belching or passing
flatus.
Trapped gas in the Hepatic Flexure can give sometimes severe
pain or pressure with relief after expelling gas.
Hope, I have given you suggestions on how to figure out the
problem with additional information.
I wish you well.

okay in 2010 my husband fell 8ft on to a concrete floor injuring his back. at first doctors said he had misplaced disks and that he needed surgery. his insurance kept, denying the surgeries. As time went by his back got worse and worse. it went from misplaced disks to having a few ruptured disks, to having deteorating disks. as far as I know the main disks that he was having problems with were the L4 and L5 disks, its been so long that now the disks below and above that are starting to give him problems now too. he s on the list to see the doctors at ECMC Hospital in Buffalo NY (462 Grider St, Buffalo, NY 14215 (716) 898-3000) but that s only for an appointment and they say he needs a referral from his regular doctor but his regural doctor is taking her own sweet time to write the referral. to make matters worse my husband always has a bunch of stomach problems like: 1. constant diarrhea ( like practically watery) ( his poop frequently has large amounts of blood in it, like to the point where you look in the toilet and its bright red.) 2. constant gas plus he was born with something wrong with his heart I don t knoiw what but he consrtantly has chest pains hios asthma has gotten worse because hes gained a lot of weight over the years because he cant move around and exercise like he used to. so hes depressed and eats. so his blood pressure, cholesterol, and iron levels are high( the doctorsa told us that and yet they didn t put him on any medicines to lower it.) he has frequent migrains all the time. he sleeps all the time he cant sleep at night because he has restless leg syndrome( he hasn t been diagnosed with that yet, but he always tells me his legs feel like hes go9tta get up and walk around so I looked it up and that s what I came up with) so if any of yopu doctors out there think you know whats wrong with my husband or think that you can help us please help.

Slightly embarrassing, but I really need it to go away! Passing gas all the time now (didn t happen before, but for over a week now I have almost constant gas and it doesn t hurt (so I don t think I have IBS), but it leaks despite me trying to control it and it s so embarrassing! Even though I don t think it has a particularly strong smell, espeically in small amounts, but it s made me extremely self conscious.I have tried this naturopathic (if that s how you say it) gas reliever (Hyland s Gas tablets; all you do is pop a couple or three in your mouth and wait for them to dissolve). They worked the first couple times or so, but not anymore :( Also, I became constipated around this time and I really want to increase my intake in fiber, but I am afraid it will just result in more uncontrollable gas. And since I am a student and some of my classes can be over an hours sitting to 2-3 hours, it gets very, very uncomfortable because I feel like that aggravates it even more!
