Question: Can an infection and bronchitis raise your bp to 135/98? Is that a XXXXXXX number? I also have felt some heart flutters. I have had a fever to 101.5. Just saw the doc and gotantibiotics.

Hi,

Thanks for posting your query.

Yes, an infection and bronchitis together can raise your blood pressure to 135/98. It is not a XXXXXXX number. It will return back to normal soon once the infection subsides.

Occasional heart flutters can be safely neglected. They need to be addressed if they occur frequently and cause other symptoms too.

The raise in blood pressure, heart flutters, and fever of 101.5 can all be attributed to the ongoing infection.

Please complete your course of the antibiotic.

You shall be fine soon.
