My husband has a red XXXXXXX along his waist on his back, about two inches wide and six inches long. It looks red, like a burn.

Thanks for the query.
Red XXXXXXX along waist line can be due to any of the following.
1.Fungal infection, called as tinea cruris.
2.Due to chronic friction.

I would like to know if there is any itching present in that area.
Please upload a photograph of the lesion.
This will help me in giving a closer diagnosis.
you have an option to upload photograph on right side of query page.

Waiting for your response,
Thank you
