Have Had Urine Test. What Are The Findings?

Question: My urine tests show
wbc 100+
rbc 4-8
squamous epithelial cell many
bacteria 3+

Thank you for your query.

Looking into your reports it seems that you are suffering from severe Urinary tract infection. Well you haven’t mentioned any other history like fever, burning during micturition , dysuria or any history of renal stones or any other urinary tract problem.

I advise you to see a physician , get a urine culture and sensitivity , USG Abdomen to look for any stones etc.

If your treating doctor feels like you can be started on antibiotics like norfloxacin and urinary alkalinisers till the sensitivity report is available . Drink lot of fluids.

All other urine tests were negative. Report says sample was contaminated.

That may be the case . In this condition you can send a repeat sample to clear your doubts. If that comes normal then there exists a possibilty that the earlier sample was contaminated.
