Have Cellulitis. Hard Lump In The Middle Of Leg Appeared. On Antibiotic. Any Ideas?

Question: hi i have had a bad bout of cellulitis and now have a hard lump in the middle of my lower leg. i am still on antibiotics it is not painful i have had blood tests and all clear any ideas? thank you

Hi,
Thank you for contacting Healthcare magic.
As the cellulitis heals, the pus can get organised with the surrounding soft tissue giving rise to a lump like feeling. If it is not soft and painful to touch, there is no need to worry.
Please continue the course of antibiotics.
If the lump becomes soft and painful, it may need to be seen by surgeon to decide whether to drain it or not.
So, as of now, there is no need to worry. Anti-inflammatory creams such as diclofenac or ketorolac gels may be applied twice a day over the lump.
