Question: Have MRSA from skin burn/wound. Taking 2 antibiotics, Vit C, probiotic (acidophilus), one per day. Want to build up immune system and avoid CDiff. Can I safely take more than one tablet of probiotic per day?
I went to urgent care 3 days after burn. next 6 days took an ineffective amoxicillin. condition worsened. went to hospital. essentially 10 days until correct diagnosis and meds, no real treatment until now.

Brief Answer:
Depending on colony forming unit

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ma’am, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but the dose of probiotics depend on the colony forming unit of the brand you are taking.. it is recommended not to take more that 8-10 colony forming unit per day..
As for avoiding the infection reaching your lungs then you need to disinfect you hands regularly , avoid the infection site coming in contact with anything , disinfect your clothes while washing them and even disinfect your inhalers before using them.. I hope you find this helpful
