Thanks for the reply.

As appendix and weight gain don’t have any connection, you have to concentrate on your diet and exercise regime.

A low calorie, high fiber diet with regular exercise will make you achieve the normal weight.

Choose whole grains as source of carbohydrates, as it contains fiber and complex carbohydrates, it will help you to feel full and energetic.

You get proteins from pulses and legumes. Daily 2-3 servings of protein is needed. If you are a non- vegetarian, choose lean meats like chicken and fish as your choice. Avoid red meat. Always use skim milk and milk products.

Fruits and vegetables- always make sure that per day 3-4 servings of fruits and vegetables should be included in the diet. This can provide a lot of fiber, anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals. Vegetables in the gourd variety (bottle gourd, ridge gourd etc.) and green leafy vegetables provides less calories.

Oils- Use vegetable oils for cooking like olive oil, ground nut oil, rice XXXXXXX oil etc. Oil conception per month per person should be half litres only. Avoid saturated fats like vanaspathi, margarine and ghee.

Water- Hydrate yourself well. Daily intake of2-3 litres of water is recommended.

Strictly avoid bakery products, deep fried snacks, carbonated beverages etc.

Exercise- regular exercise with the diet will give you good results for weight loss. So plan for at least 45 minutes of activity every day. It can be brisk walking, jogging, swimming, yoga, dancing, aerobics etc. choose a form of exercise which you are comfortable to do on a regular basis.

All the Best

Eat right and Stay well…

Thanks,
