Brief Answer:

Size is somewhat larger, need extra details, please.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

* The spleen size of 14.29 cm is around 2-3 cm larger than the normal range of 11-12cm which can be of multiple factors, which has to be correlated with clinical symptoms

Kindly provide further details so that I can answer your query completely.

1. Recent history of symptoms of infection in the body (as the respiratory, abdomen or another system).
2. Pain - frequency , radiation if anywhere.
3. Fever , weight alteration if any.
4. Any blood tests were taken or not along with ultrasound (if taken, give reports as an attachment)

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Brief Answer:

Follow up.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

* As there is fever, secondary spleen enlargement from the underlying inflammatory issue is the prime concern (as it is a normal physiologic process of the body to fight against infection via antibody productions through spleen).
* Once the basic reason gets control, size of spleen gradually revert back to normal.
* Current recommendations at present for better recovery

- Consume more liquids to maintain hydration level.
- Prefer easily digestible diet with avoidance of spices , non veg stuffs at present.
- Continue medications in form of antibiotics and anti pyretic as per prescription of
your family doctor.
- Do not panic.
- Discuss about need of lab tests with your doctor in follow up visit.
- Follow up ultrasound to evaluate spleen size after 2 weeks.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
