I have been getting dizzy spells, tried (lack of energy), headaches since dec last year and to be honest I am over it, I have had a stress test on heart all good, a CT scan on the brain, neck and back that found the bone spurs. heaps of blood tests that all come back finding nothing... the lastest dignoises myGP has had is postural hypotentsion but i had a blood pressure monitor at home and my blood pressure does not fall upon standing it rises upon standing i cant stand to talk to someone or in a que for a period of time without getting lightheaded.... I take coverram for my blood pressure and have been taking 1 tablet as day but 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 at night.. I tried today based on medical advise to leave the morning 1/2 and take a full tonight but my daytime Blood pressure has been very high all day and I have felt not well all day... another symptom i get when standing with the lightheadness is brethless ie i can breath normal but cant take a deep breath in.. I love to dance and excerise in general and I cant even do this any ideas of what can be wrong is there any medical conditions that cause BP to rise on standing... my diabeties is well controlled with excellent pre and after food readings and also my 3 monthly on has been spot on as well.... Help please sick of being ill and its depressing me as I cant do what i like to do.....

Brief Answer:
It could be a depression

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for using health care magic for posting your query.
I have gone through what you have stated and can understand what you are going through.
You have stated that you have symptoms of lightheadedness weakness lethargy headache feeling low for last 9 months and all the tests have come negative.
In such a situation a diagnosis of depression cannot be ruled out. Many times depression doesn't present with typical mood symptomatic. Instead it may express itself as physical symptoms and the symptoms that you have stated is all that happens.
There is no blood testing or imaging for depression and it's a clincal diagnosis that can be confirmed by mental state examination by a a expert like psychiatrist. In my clinic many patients who had presented with such complains have benefited by treatment with antidepressants. I generally prescribe them escitalopram or fluoxetine for 4 weeks and look for the change jn symptom intensity. If it works continue it or change the medications.
Hope that helps

Brief Answer:
CBT is another option

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the follow up query.
If you don't like taking anti depressants then cognitive behavioural therapy is another option. They are 15 min weekly sessions for 8 -10weeks.
Other than this you can try aerobic exercise and eat fresh fruits with lot of anti oxidants.
Saint johns wort is another natural herb that can help.

I have been thinking about your answer and i dont think it is depression, I have not been feeling low until i got these lighthead symptoms that have effected my ability to do stuff i like i think what ever it is is causing depression but is not the cause. there is no one near me to do cognitive behavioural therapy. I cant do the aerobic excerise due to the lightheadness. my blood pressure rises upon standing for periods of time and with doing some goggle research it is very similar to POTS
Answered by Dr. Srikanth Reddy 7 hours later
Brief Answer:
Holter ECG monitoring

Detailed Answer:
POTS is change in the heart rate by changing ones posture. I doesnt appear so as your continuous BP monitoring has shown no abnormality. Still if you feel, you can a try a holter 24 hrs ECG monitoring at home and if there is a POTS then the tachycardia should show up.
I was suggesting a diagnosis of depression as most of all the investigations that you have done have come negative, and depression has a varied presentation.
Try getting a holter from your local GP and he will help you with it,
