Question: Friday night I had about 8 drinks worth of alcohol. The next morning I threw up after eating a little breakfast and drinking some coffee. The contents seemed normal, but at the end, it looked like there might have been some redness in the color of the liquid coming out. I didn't feel nauseous after that, though I continued to have symptoms of a hangover. My abdomen has been experiencing a lot of discomfort from gas, but one part of my abdomen in the top right has felt more pressure than other parts. It is not sore to the touch, and it seems like it might be from gas, but the fact that it is a little more persistent in the same place has me worried. With the possibility of blood in my vomit on Saturday (not sure), and the feeling of pressure in my upper right abdomen, I wanted to know what this could be and if it is cause for concern. My digestive system is still not back in balance, but I have been peeing normally and there haven't been any other concerning symptoms.

Brief Answer:
Sounds harmless

Detailed Answer:
Hi Majoklion,

What you describe sounds perfectly harmless. Small amounts of blood after drinking alcohol is not in itself a cause for concern. As long as it has stopped and you feel like you are recovering, you should not be worried. The gas you describe is also completely benign.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have further questions.
