For The Last Couple Months I Have Had Pelvic Pain

default
Posted on Thu, 7 Mar 2019
Question: For the last couple months I have had pelvic pain and feel pressure on my bladder. When I wake up I get that sensation that my bladder is full and hurry and go pee. Throughout the day I can feel some pelvic pain. And lower back hurts as well. (I have too many layers of memory foam that could be that problem). The pelvic/lower abdomin pain is not a real bad pain. Just kind of an inflammation pain. I drink water all day at work. But for a couple weeks out of those 2 months. I drank Dr Pepper at work. About 32oz every other day. Not sure if that was problem or not. I’ve looked up IBS. and Citis and chlaymidya and chlymadia I don’t have any if the other signs. Another weird symptom was I feel like I have to push my gas out. And when I go number 2. I can feel that my anus is a little swollen. Please help.

Brief Answer:
Urinary track infection is possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

Listening to your symptoms the most probable reason for it is urinary track infection.
You should firstly do a urine analysis and an uroculture to check for type of antibiotics needed.
You can send the results to me.
If results come clear it can be IBS.
The swollen of anus has nothing to do with the two mentioned above it can be haemorrhoids and a visit to surgeon is advisable.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

After reading your message. I took an UTI test and it came up clear. No UTI.

I thought IBS had to do more with bowel movements
I have pain in pelvic area with pressure on bladder

Do you think it can be IBS since urine came back negative?

I just saw a pic for IBS explaining what it was. And where the intestine is on both sides near the pelvic. That’s exactly where the discomfort is coming from.

Brief Answer:
It seems urinary tract infection

Detailed Answer:
Firstly you say urine is clear later you mention that the test shows leukocytes, most likely you read the test early in the beginning.
Since the test has shown leukocytes you should go to a clinic for urine analysis and urine culture and sensitivity. Taking the right antibiotics is the only solution for it.
Meanwhile you can use ibuprofen for pain.
I don't think this is related to IBS.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
