Foot injured. Got swelling and turned red. Having pain. How to reduce the swelling?

My foot got injured just now, it got swelling and turned red.
Its paining. Any help so that this swelling can be reduce.

If it is a open wound, do get yourself vaccinated with Tetanus injection.

Wash the wound and apply Bactroban ointment twice daily with sterile dressing.

The swelling will come down over time, it is a response to to the trauma and is not serious.

Also take Tab Motrin 400 mg twice daily after food for three days.
