Hi I am XXXXX , Male of 27years old. My face started looking so dull and dry these days. I also had pigmentation and acne scars on my face. So I want to use a good peeling cum moisturizer cream which I can apply at night.
Also suggest me a Day cream which I can apply on my face before leaving to work.
Please suggest.

Thanks for writing to us.
so your basic skin concerns are dry dull skin, pigmentation, acne scars. To treat these concerns
1) use a mild face cleanser like cetaphil. it will work for dry as well as acne prone skin
2) use a mild bland moisturiser- you may use cetaphil or a Clinique moisturiser or a sebamed moisturiser
3)apply a good sunscreen as it will help in preventing further pigmentation. use a water based sunscreen like photoban aqua gel or suncote or suncross aqua gel.
4) take oral vitamin c supplements daily . You may take tablet limcee and Celin.
5) prior to starting therapy for pigmentation try to restore hydration of your skin. once your skin has become normal with above mentioned steps, start applying a hydroquinone and tretinoin based cream in night to reduce pigmentation and marks.
6) you may also take few sessions of lactic acid peels. lactic acid peel will serve the purpose of hydrating your skin, removing marks and pigmentation as well.

there is no such cream that provides peeling action as well as moisturising action.
I would also encourage you to upload an image of your concerned area for further discussion and clarification, if any.
hope that helped. Take care

Dr. Kalpana,

Hope I had given you a bigger picture of my pigmentation. My scars and pigmentation are low on side and bearable to look. So no need to go for peels or treatment.

My basic question is for suggesting me a day and night cream for healthy and radiant looking face. Since stress and age are started playing on my face I want to take some precaution for the same.

Hope I am bit clear now.

To maintain good skin, a thumbrule of CTMS should be followed ie cleansing, toning, moisturising and sunscreen.
As your skin is dry, toner is not required.
To prevent effects of sundamage, pollution and age or to reduce pigmentation or fine lines, we basically have to incorporate products containing vitamin C, retinol, vitamin E and hyaluronic acid. Other compounds like arbutin, liquorice and niacinamide if present give whitening benefit.
So these are the list of products that you can use
Cleanser cetaphil
moisturiser day time- olay 7 effects, lakme sculpting range serum, Ponds antiageing. Personally i prefer strea nanoceuticals nano white in morning as contains vitamin c arbutin etc which will reduce marks, whiten skin and reduce fine lines.
sunscreen- photoban

cleansing with cetaphil cleanser
moisturiser olay regenerist, lakme sculpting night creme or ponds product. Personally i prefer strea nanoceuticals nano age as contains hyaluronic acid and will reduce fine lines and keep skin supple.
Amongst easily available product olay has best response. Strea products are high range products giving wonderful response
Hope that answered your query.
Take care
