Brief Answer:
Use either of the two, both are equally good

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcare magic

I have gone through your complaints and you seem to be having male pattern baldness.

Minoxidil 5 percent solution is used in the medical treatment of male pattern baldness.

You have mentioned about mintop 5 percent and tugain 5 percent. Both are equally good as they contain the same preparation. You can use either of the two.

The dose is 1 ml twice daily on the affected areas of the scalp. It has to be used for 4-5 months to see any significant response and for atleast 1 year for maximum improvement.

Regarding application of hair oil don't use it daily. Apply hair oil 4-5 hours before head wash and then wash it off. It can be used either once weekly or twice weekly.

Shampoo has to be used twice weekly. You can use any shampoo that suits you.

I hope to have answered your queries and would be happy to clarify any further doubts.

Regards
Dr Asmeet

Brief Answer:
Minoxidil can be used with finasteride, combination more effective

Detailed Answer:
Yes use tugain once in the morning and once at bedtime.

It doesn't have many side effects apart from itching, redness and irritation in few individuals.

Minoxidil works very well with tablet finasteride in male pattern baldness. The combination works better than minoxidil used alone.

The dose of finasteride is 1 mg daily after meal.

It can lead to sexual dysfunction in 1-2 percent of individuals but it is reversible on stopping the medicine.

Dear Mam, thanks, I dont want to take finasteride, not because of side effect but as I only want to use Tugain as of now, will there be no improvement in hair growth if i only use Tugain, even if i start to take finasteride, is it possible to take the same for 2-3 months then use only Tugain, kindly advise ...
