Does Usage Of Hydrocortisone Help In Treating Skin Lesions?

default
Posted on Sat, 25 Jun 2016
Question: I had a shave biopsy about three and a half weeks ago. For several weeks it has been irritated and burns. Last week I went back to the doctor. He took the little scab off, applied a steroid and covered it. It felt pretty good for two days when I took the bandaid off. I applied the prescription hydrocortisone and it started acting up again. It is easily irritated. I put on a bandaid and it irritates it. This is the most recent picture. It feels a little better today, but I can't believe that I am still dealing with this. I am only putting on the vasoline. Should I try the hyrdrocortisone? Am I still looking at a long healing process? I was so encouraged when he put the bandaid on and I should have left it alone. I appreciate your help.

Brief Answer:
Upload pictures

Detailed Answer:
Hi
According to your history it still seems to be inflammed but I would recommend you to upload a picture of it so that I can have look at it.
There is no need to use a bandaid on it.
It should be left open.
Regarding the use of hydrocortisone I can guide you once I see the recent pictures.

This is from this morning. I have triamicinolone. Need tips on how to keep it from getting inflamed. Sometimes it does not hurt, but then sometimes it gets very irritated. I know I don't seem like a person who can't take pain, but this little sore has been a menace.

thank you so much! i hope you never hear from me again. I already wrote you a great review, and appreciate all of your prompt answers.

Take care,

Brief Answer:
Apply triamcinolone once daily

Detailed Answer:
I have reviewed the recent pictures and it is looking a lot better than the previous ones.
It will be completely okay in few more days.
I would recommend you to keep it open, don't put any bandaid and apply triamcinolone cream on the affected areas once daily for few more days.
It will take care of the inflammation.
In case it gets very irritated you can take pain killers like ibuprofen sos.
