Question: Can u have urethritis with microscopic blood but no pus.

Thanks for query .
Presence of RBC in urine may be from
1) Inflammation of urethral mucus membrane
2) Inflammation of bladder (Cystitis)
3) Slight oozing from superficial,veins on the surface of Enlarged Prostate .

Pus cells are detected microscopic examination of urine whenever there is severe bacterial infection any where in Urinary Tract from kidney ,ureter or bladder.
