Hi dear and thanks for your query.

Having periods every month most common means that female ovulate.
But sometimes periods (not true periods) can be even if ovulation haven't occur, this is called anovulatory cycle.
Usually it occur when the cycle is irregular,missed or have false periods.
Hence if you have regular cycle, you ovulate.
But to be sure that you ovulate you can track it by using some methods:
Body temperature
Vaginal discharge
Ovulation kits
