Question: My wife has been undergone for IUI for sccond cycle. The doctor has advised that if pregnancy not occur then laproscopy has to be done on day 7 in nex cycle. All reports such as PCR, AMH, HSF, HSG are quite normal and she is being ovulate at right time for IUI after taking Beclom tablets and menotas 75 injection on d3, d5 and d7 of the cycle. Is it necessary to undergo laproscopy? Please give your valuable advice? An early reply is highly solicited.

Brief Answer:
not advisable

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Welcome to HCM,

If all reports are normal and you have been trying for 2 years now, and if you have not yet conceived, rather than laparoscopy i would advise you to go for IVF.

Every cycle of IVF has a 35-40% success rate and IVF is indicated when infertility is of unknown cause and more than 2 years.

The laparoscopy is indicated only if we are suspecting tubal problem or endometriosis.

Was your wife having irregular cycles or ever diagnosed with PCOS?

Hope this helps.
Regards.
