Brief Answer:
No need for concern

Detailed Answer:
My dear friend,

I do empathize your concern.

I would like to know when did you have your last menstrual period. What is the periodicity of your menstrual cycle? On that we can calculate the day of egg release. On which day of your menstrual cycle you had this unprotected intercourse? This information will let me decide whether your intercourse was in the fertile period or not.

You have taken emergency contraceptive pill 13 hours after the unprotected intercourse. This pill has to be taken within first 24 hours but not later than 72 hours after the unprotected intercourse, which you have done. These pills have very good success rate.

The pills get absorbed from the intestines into blood within few hours. Alcohol consumed after 14 hours of pill will not affect its absorption nor will it affect its action.

Considering all these facts, I feel you may not be pregnant.

Due to the pills the period can get delayed by few days. You need not become impatient. Please wait for one week more. Still if you do not get period, you may do urine pregnancy test and/or ultrasonography for detection of pregnancy. Earlier these tests are not reliably conclusive. Beta hCG tests are very sensitive and specific; so they may help you to diagnose the pregnancy 2-3 days after the missed period.

I have analysed and explained the situation scientifically for you. If you give the information I have asked for, I can further analyse your situation and advise you further.

I hope you have understood the meaning of the incidence and will act accordingly.

If you want any more information, I am always available for you.

Brief Answer:
Most unlikely to be pregnant

Detailed Answer:
My dear Friend,

Your last menstrual period was on 3rd August, the next period was due on 3rd September. Thus the date of egg release would be 19th August. Considering the life of egg and activity of sperms, the fertile period falls between 15th to 23rd August. Therefore the chances of pregnancy due to the unprotected sexual intercourse on 29th August are practically far and remote. I do not think you have to worry for the same.

As I have advised you, if you do not get menses till 12th September, please get your urine pregnancy test and/or ultrasonography done to rule out the pregnancy. If the test(s) reveal no pregnancy, then you may wait patiently for the menses to appear.

I am sure I have resolved your query and stress. If you are satisfied, you may post a good review with 5 star rating for me.

If you want any more information, I am always available for you.
