Does Intake Of Talo-S And Loricon Help In Curing Dysthymia?

Question: Hi Dr XXXXXXX heijebu..
I was diagnosed Dysthymia 10 days back.I was given Talo -s once daily and Tab.Loricon once daily for 3 months.Is this ok.Do I need any further medication?Please help.

Nothing to worry.Since the drug is more effective in treating dysthymia,you need to continue the drug.

Yes you can continue the medication.

Hi Sir,

Welcome again,

Side effects of Loricon include weakness,confusion,drug dependence ,drowsiness ,light headedness,mood changes,muscle cramp,nausea etc.

But side effects may not be seen in every case.

So I advise you not to worry much and continue with the present medication.

You can use both Talo-s and Loricon.

If your symptoms are intolerable you can go for Tab.clonazepam instead of Talo.
So please discuss with your doctor whether he shares my view.

Dr XXXXXXX .Now actually my symptoms of sleeplessness and weakness,headache reduced after using these medicines.How many months should I use these tablets?Can I smoke and drink during this period?

You need to drink 3-4 litres of water every day.
