Does Intake Of Mucinex Help In Curing Sinus Infection?

Question: I'm am suffering from what I think a common head cold...runny nose, mild congestion, some cough but no fever. I am on Tikosyn for afib. Can I take something like Mucinex to help relieve the sinus congestion?

I am sorry to hear that you are currently having symptoms of a head cold or URI. You are on Tikosyn which is an anti rhythmic and you are wondering what medications you can take for your URI. You can take mucinex without any problems with drug to drug interactions. The only medication I would caution your use on is a decongestant. Decongestants can cause elevated heart rates and may affect your heart if you do use them.
