Does Intake Of Duphaston Affect Pregnancy?
Question: Hi .. I have 26 days cycle.. I was expected to get my periods on 6th XXXXXXX . Which dint happen . I took pregnacy test which was negative . I got my periods on 9th jan( on 30th day) the bleeding did not stop till 6th day and i was getting clean blood. I went to my doctor who after examining me said that i have an incomplete abortion and there are few pieces inside and i was on a 5 day antibiotc cource. Next month we tried again on the ovulation day and 5 days post ovulation i started getting cramps. I am 9 days post ovulation today getting mild cramps daily and my gyne has adviced me duphaston till 9th of feb( my expected date for period is 5th feb as per 26days cycle) and then asked to take a blood test on 10th.. I did a pregnancy text today(6th feb) and it came out to be negative.am i pregnant or shud i wait to test again...Will home pregnancy test kit not be able to dedect the result if i am on duphaston? Also will duphaston save me from having a miscarraige this time? This is my second pregnancy and in my first pregnancy also i was on pregestrone inserts for the first trimester. Plzhelp... Thnks

First of all after an abortion, you should wait for atleast 3 months, during which you should be taking folic acid daily, to regain your strength.
Since you have got your period on the 9th of January, 6th of February is still too early to test.
You should wait for a week more before conducting a pregnancy test again.
Duphaston prevents the risk of a miscarriage, but you should not have tried to conceive immediately the next month after a miscarriage.
Duphaston does not interfere with the result of a home pregnancy test kit.

I had mild cramping almost throughout the day frm 28th XXXXXXX till 4th of feb... Now m not feeling this anymore..is it a symptom of pregnancy??
