Thanks for the query.
There is no harm in taking VIT C while having cold but studies doesn't show that consumption of VIT C either prevents or treat cold.
Although cold is a viral infection and tends to go off its own but if certain measures are adopted,then severity of cold symptoms can be reduced.
You may take anti allergics like Benadryl or FEXOFENADINE.
Drink hot liquids and water.
Take steam inhalation 2-3 times a day.
Avoid smoking and cold drinks.
For bodyache or fever you may take paracetamol as and when required.
