Question: Hello doc,

As I asked you before about my exposure with 2 escorts. Both protected. But unfortunately I was diagnosed with herpes. So I got very scared and I did a PCR RNA HIV Qualitative test at 14 days which came back negative. As per your answer I didn't need any more testing as PCR was negative. But for peace of mind I did a hiv duo test at 7-8 weeks Which also came back negative. My gum doctor said I don't need to do anymore testing. I hope that you will agree to it ? Please let me know if I nneed to do more testing. Otherwise I can just forget about this and move on with my life.

Thanks a
XXXX.

Brief Answer:
Complete a protocol.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking a pertinent question.
I guess we have already discussed that there is a protocol for declaring somebody's status whether positive or negative(which is @ baseline ,@28 & @90 days) .Now you have already had two tests at 14 days and 8 weeks, which all came negative , so you can very well expect what will come at 90 days tests .
I am certain that it will come negative if you go for it.
My position is that when you have already got done 2 tests , then you should definitely go for a third test at 90 days ,just to have completed a protocol so that we too can declare somebody's status with 100 % certainty .
Also it will close the chapter in your mind too for rest of your life .
Just for your benefit I divulge here that I have never come across anybody who has become positive, whose previous two tests were found to be negative .

So I hope this answers your query.
Hope to listen the good news (negative result) of your third test @ 90 days.
