Does Drinking Water Before A Oraquick Test Effects The Test Results?

Question: Hekko, i had a ora quick test couple of days before and came out NEGATIVE, But i am just curious now that i did it properly , today i realize i drank sip of water around 20-30 mins before the test, it was just a one sip. Is that make any difference to the result ,?

I read your question and i understand your concern . Sipping or even drinking eater prior to the test is not contraindicated. And there was 30 minutes gap between the test and sip so there is no chance it could affect the result. These test are very easy to perform and just a swabbing like takes only a few seconds to take a sample. If you still feel they did not do it properly, you may request for repeating it again. I am sure that will come as negative too.

Thanks doctor, I know it was just a sip of water and I think it's around 25 mins and I came pretty dark red line at C mark..should it take it conclusive result..I know I am little freaking out here...

Thanks doctor I was so scared . and one thing I had this unprotected exposure 7 years before..I read it somewhere after long time this oraquick test did not find antigens after sometime.this test is for after 6 or 9 months exposure ?
