Brief Answer:
Okra is good as nutrition.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr. XXXXXXX

Thanks for your question.

I have gone through your question and I understood your concern.

Okra in any form has same effect on diabetes and not just okra water.

Okra is beneficial in terms of -
1) It contain insoluble fibers, has low glycemic index hence helpful in stabilizing blood sugar level.
2) It is good supply of vitamins and minerals.
3) It also help in stabilizing cholesterol level and there by beneficial effect on heart.
4) It also maintain gut motility.
5) Help in weight loss as contain low calories and high fibers there by fulfill satiety without giving much calories.

Okra should be used as a part of nutritional supplement and not substitute to medicines.

It do not have any bad effect on kidney in otherwise healthy individual.
It should be avoided in individuals with oxalate type of kidney stones.

In one scientific study soluble fibers of okra interfere with absorption of metformin (which is a content of your medicine Tab Glycomet) and there by reduces sugar lowering effect of metformin.
So avoid taking okra with metformin ie. better to keep a gap of at least 2 to 4 hours in between consumption of metformin and okra.

Hope I have answered your question.
I will be happy to answer your follow up question, if any.
Otherwise close the question and rate the answer.
