Brief Answer: No, it removes only tartar & not enamel Detailed Answer: Hi Thanks for writing in. Scaling is a process of removal of thin biofilm of bacteria called plaque & calcified debris called calculus.It does not removes enamel. Sensitivity after scaling is due to removal of debris.In such case you can use desensitizing toothpaste for some time. Every 6 months you can go for scaling. Brief Answer: Sensodent-kf is good. Detailed Answer: In case of acute sensitivity,semsodent-KF is the best one. you may take any paste having pottasium nitrate or strontium monofluorophosphate. Regards Dr. Neha Sumra
