Does Chronic Amebiasis Cause Severe Constipation?

Question: I suffer from severe constipation. With great effort some stool come out and it ends with White drops of stool (?). Is this due to chronic Amebiosis. What is the cure.

I do not think that this is due to chronic amebiasis. Constipation is generally caused due to reduced motility of the gastrointestinal tract. This movement propels the food matter downward as it gets digested, absorbed and converted into fecal matter before it is eliminated. If this bowel movement is hampered, constipation results. In such a case plenty of fibre should be taken in diet. It helps in forming bulk and contributes to clearing of the stool. Regular exercise is a must.
