Does Alkalinizing Drink And Ranitidine Taken Together Cause Any Side Effects?

default
Posted on Mon, 30 Jun 2014
Question: I have just started taking an alkalizing green drink (cucumber, celery, green apple and lemon juice) made with my nutribullit machine, as well as one 150mg of Ranitidine at night. I think there has been a reaction - feeling rather weird, sick and shakey. Do you think taking these two things taken together together could be the problem.
I forgot to mention I am also experiencing runny bowel motions and am still recovering from radiation gastritis

Dear Madam,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that in my opinion there are no studies in literature to see the interacton between the alkalinizing drink and ranitidine but since you are not feeling well I would advise you to stop it immediately since it is a coctail of many fruits and vegetables there is a possibilty that its individual components might not be compatible with each other .

Ranitidine is a very safe drug in my experience and I dont think its the culprit .Rather one thing you can do is to eat the component individually rather then mixing them all . It will be more beneficial .

Take care .

Thank you for your reply. Upon reflection, my daily diet of fruit and vegetables consists of seven vegetables (lunch and tea) and three pieces of fruit daily. Adding another four mulched up vegetables (celery, granny XXXXXXX apple, carrot and cucumber), as well as the 150mg Ranitidine at night, I think has blown my alkaline levels sky high. I have decided to cease taking the mulched up veges and keep taking the one tablet of Ranitidine at night, with my usual daily diet of fruit and veges. I would appreciate your comments.

Dear Madam,

Thank you for reverting back.

I agree with your decision to avoid veggies mulched together is appropriate and will help you out . I think you should also have an adequate amount of fat and carbohydrates as these are the fuel for our body and keep us going , there low levels will lead to drained physique . So try to increase their amount also .
