Thanks for contacting me directly.
You have responded well in past to zoloft. And when there is history of good response with one drug according to guidelines that drug should be first choice when same problem appear again. So zoloft will be a great option. I would start with 50 mg and gradually increase up to 200 mg.
Serax is an alternative to clonazepam when sedation should be avoided. However my first choice is always clonazepam for anxiety. I use serax specifically in alcohol withdrawals.
Cymbalta should be tapered of very slowly to prevent drug discontinuation symptoms. Simultaneously adding zoloft will help in fast tapering.
Yes you can drink beer when you taper off cymbalta but not more than 1 pint as either increases toxicity of the other by pharmacodynamic synergism. Too much alcohol should be avoided.

i have decided to go on zoloft and serax. clonazepam did not help me at all.would serax help my anxiety. because i was on clonazepam before she went to diazapam. and the anxiety was worse. 26 yrs. ago the clonazepam worked but it isn't working now. all i want is to be able to calm down and leave my house without feeling anxious. i am getting very frustrated and finding it harder and harder to cope. i go out for dr. appoinments and that is it. i haven't been to our camp for 3 yrs. no one should have to live like this.

I also recommend going for psychotherapy. In psychotherapy I prefer cognitive behavior therapy (CBT).Many patients of anxiety disorder can be treated with only psychotherapy. In mild cases only CBT is sufficient. In moderate to severe cases initially medicines and then CBT is added. And later on medicines stopped gradually.
For a while to improve health you need to maintain healthy lifestyle. This includes regular daily exercise (walking or running), hygienic food habits (no junk food, no fatty food, preferably only home-made food with law salt and fat with more fruits and vegetables) and timely scheduled sleep. Yoga- meditation can also help.

you recommended zoloft 200mg. i would rather go back on clonazepam. what dosage of clonazepam is right. 60mg. 3 times a day. or 30mg 3 times a day. if i went on the serax like you suggest, and while we are camping could i at least drink beer at least 3.
