Posted on Thu, 24 May 2018
Question: I have to apply salicyacid too an area where the doctor cut out a impacted skin lump with a medical knife on my foot. Does this paste have any antibiotic qualities since there is now a scab where the doctor cut the skin?

Brief Answer:
It makes skin soft

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
Probably your doctor has removed a corn from your feet and salicylic acid has been prescribed to you to prevent formation of a new corn.
It makes the skin soft.
It is not an antibacterial cream
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thanks.

Should I apply a triple antibiotic along with acid when applying the bandage?

Should I apply a triple anti biotic to the incision spot along with the acid paste? Will that be a problem?

Brief Answer:
Use only salicylic acid

Detailed Answer:
Hello
You don't need to apply any antibacterial cream.
Salicylic acid will peel off skin and won't allow infection to set in.
Just relax.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thanks.
