Does Robaxin Work Better Than Tizanidine?

Question: What is difference between Robaxin and Tizanidine hcl 4mg. I have back muscle spasms. I also have Baclofen 10mg

I have gone through your query. Robaxin is less sedating when comparing tizanidine. Tizanidine is also a centrally acting alpha 2 adrenergic agonist. When muscle spasm is more which also causes insomnia then sedating ones like Tizanidineor cyclobenzaprine is preferred. Tizanidine also can cause hypotension (decrease of blood pressure).
Baclofen is not preferred to use for musculoskeletal conditions. It is primarily used to treat spasticity.
So for back muscle spasms I would prefer tizanidine in smaller doses like 2 to 4 mg if it is interfering with sleep. If no sleep problems then I would prefer Robaxin.
