Does Norethisterone Help In Stopping Periods?

Question: Can I start norethisterone the day I start bleeding? Will it make my period lighter/stop?

No im not taking it for birth control. I wanted to take it to delay my period... But i needed to take it 3 days before it started. But if i start taking it now what will happen? Lighter period or will it stop?

Taking it now will not make any reasonable change. You are late and I will recommend that you start it early next time you want to do so. By the time this drug can have an impact, you would be done with the periods already.
