Hello and welcome,

Plain Mucinex is the drug guaifenesin and I cannot find interactions between guaifenesin and escitalopram on my drug interaction checker.

Where did you read that there are interactions between these two? What interaction did you find? And are you having problems today from taking both? Because I have prescribed these 2 together many times and there are no problems.

Brief Answer:
Still no interactions

Detailed Answer:
I looked up each of the drugs:
escitalopram
acetaminophen
guaifenesin
phenylephrine

There are no significant interactions between these.

I have given this combination to my teenage daughter.

There should be no problem with these. It is possible, for medications that use the same liver enzymes for being processed to bump up the dose of the other medications slightly. But really this is an innocuous combination. If it were a problem, the manufacturers of the Mucinex preparation would have to list escitalopram or the class of SSRIs on their packaging as a warning to not combine these.

So I think you are quite safe.
