It will depend upon the type of cough and associated symptoms.

Bromfed DM elixir is a decongestant, antihistamine, and cough suppressant combination. It will help to reduce symptoms sinus congestion, runny nose, sneezing, and dry cough but not wet cough (coughing with mucus or phlegm).

Whereas, Mucinex dm contains Dextromethorphan which is a cough suppressant in combination with Guaifenesin which is an expectorant and helps to loosen congestion in your chest or throat and making it easier for mucus/phlegm to cough out through mouth.

So,before advising further,

Kindly let me know which type of cough you are whether dry cough or wet cough and what are the associated symptoms? (like nasal,sinus,throat,chest).

Thanks for the immediate response.

If you have only dry cough then take bromphed DM only and there is no need to take mucinex dm.

However, you can start with bromphed dm after 2 to 3 hours from now since you have already taken mucinex dm.
