Do you have pathologist report? How large was the tumor?
Generally Mohs surgery does not differ from typical excision of the skin from the patient point of view. Just during this surgery we remove layer by layer the skin lesion. After every layer removal, it is tested by a pathologist right away. If the cancer is not present in this layer, surgery is over. If the cancer is still in the last layer, we have to remove another one.
This kind of procedure is done when you do not have much skin on the tumor location.
Radiation is only necessary if the removal is incomplete and the tumor regrows or affects bones. This happens in very rare cases.
Flap can be placed if the skin can not be closed with simple sutures.
