1). How does Linzess help the diahrrea that sometimes alternates with constipation in IBS?

2) What is the black box warning?

2. A black box warning is the strictest warning put in the labeling of prescription drugs or drug products by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) when there is reasonable evidence of an association of a serious hazard with the drug.

FDA drug alert warns that (Black Box Warning) Linzess should not be used in children under age 6 and neither safety nor is efficacy established for those under 18 years olds.
