Brief Answer:
Macrodantin the culprit

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

Macrodantin is a wonderful drug but it is known to cause a lot of side effects. The feeling of unwell and headaches could be because of Macrodantin. ESBL would have caused high spiking fever if it was not under control.
I recommend that you approach your physician for a change of antibiotic. I usually put my patients on Cefixime twice daily for those who do not tolerate Macrodantin an other alternative would be Amox with clavulunate

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

Regards
