Question: Husband's Doc gave him samples of Namzaric to take which has Donepezil Hcl in it. He is already taking Donepezil Hcl 10 mg. Should he be taking both? Is that to much med?

Brief Answer:
Can be taken in replacement

Detailed Answer:
I am Dr Mittal.
Most likely that doctor has given you samples in addition.
You can take the samples alternate with your regular medicine.
No need to combine them.
Do check the dose on the samples.
Best of luck.

My husband who has Lewy Body dementia was prescribed Anantadine for the first time. He was told to take 1 -100 mg tablet in the am and another at mid-day. He is taking 23 mg of Aricept and some other drugs as well. On Saturday afternoon, he developed a 101.5 fever and was very confused and disoriented and was incontinent. I gave him Two tylenol and his fever went down and he was back to normal in the morning. Again today, he took the same amount of Anantadine and the same thing happened . Could these events be related to the new drug?

I am entering the moderate phase of AZ. I am on 10 mg for 3 month. I feel I should be considering moving to 23 mg of Donepezil . What do you think?

My dad is a 90yr male. he has Hypertension. He is taking 20mg of lisinopril QD, 2mg of immodium QD, 5mg of aricept, and recently started on bicalutamide 50mg for prostate ca. PSA in Jan. 2014 was 1.69. His last lab in nov. of 2013 consisted of CMP, CBC,hemoglobin A1C(7.1) thyroid profile. all other values were normal except for the lymphocyte ct. of 14.4.
He is pale but no jaundice noted. He has increased weakness and sleeps 18-20 hr day. I suspect the cancer has reoccured in his bile duct. What is your opinion?

My mother (81 years old) had cataract surgery today (but not the question!) and as her heart rate was monitored I noticed that is went down to 45 bpm when she relaxed. She had thyroid cancer 50 years ago and is on levothyroxine 25 mcg. She isn't experiencing dizzyness or headaches. Is this something that I should be concerned about. She also has Alzheimers and is taking Aricept 10 mg.

Hi, my husband is 80 years old, has had a heart attack, has CHF, CSA, has had two strokes, has type II diabetes, has pacemaker, defib, restless leg syndrome. His meds are Warfarin, Armour Thyroid, Lisinopril Donepezil and a new doctor treating him for central sleep apnea has prescribed Requip and Nuvigil. He is ALWAYS tired, weak, sleepy and dizzy. Will any of these med interact? Thank you.
