Question: Do you know the median sojourn time for pancreatic cancer. I was normal by ct (with and w/o contrast of abdomen) 1 yr ago. I'm assuming a Panc C could pop up since then. I get occasional mid back pressure/pain that resolves. Thanks!

Brief Answer:

The median sojourn time for pancreatic cancer is around 1 year

Detailed Answer:

Hi

The median sojourn time for pancreatic cancer is around 1 year

Since you are getting back pain and your CT abdomen was normal 1 year ago i would advise you to do blood test for pancreatic tumour marker CA 19.9 to rule out pancreatic cancer

Regards
