Brief Answer:
No, I don't think this is lymphoma.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

However, I don't think that these symptoms are worrisome for lymphoma. The weight loss is mild and intentional. The night sweats are also not suggestive of lymphoma as these are not drenching night sweats. I also note that you have been to a doctor who must have excluded enlarged lymph nodes or organs.

Hence I don't see any need for immediate referral to oncologist or hematologist.

Hope this helps.

Regards.

Brief Answer:
This diarrhea is probably unrelated.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

One or two episodes of diarrhea will not cause significant weight loss, like 10%, as in lymphoma. So this diarrhea won't be linked to lymphoma.

Even without you seeing a family physician, I would not think of lymphoma as a major diagnosis but would have recommended a visit to the physician for a general check up.

Regards.

Brief Answer:
10% weight loss in 6 months is significant.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I feel everything is OK from the symptoms but without examining you. That is a big shortcoming, hence the recommendation to get a general checkup to exclude enlarged lymph nodes or organs.

Anxiety can cause diarrhea too, so you really need to cut down on it.

Brief Answer:
Stress explains all of your symptoms.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

You should see any professional regarding the stress and manage it at the earliest, which includes medicines and other behavioral techniques. Then only the symptoms will subside.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Brief Answer:
This much weight loss can be because of diarrhea.

Detailed Answer:

If you lose 1 liter fluid because of diarrhea, and not replenish it by fluids, then you lose 1 kg weight overnight. This is not the case in lymphoma where overnight weight loss is not possible. It is a slow process. Hence I am not considering lymphoma.

Stress causes increase in heart rate, diarrhea, little drenching, all your symptoms and you sound terribly stressed.

Dear Doctors , this week i am fine , i have still one question , as i told you my doctor has beacuse i asked complete blood test , all answers were ok , she also did LDH test it was in normal range. and one more test and the only one who came above normal range : CRP test the range was 0.0-0.5mg/dl i got 2.3mg/dl .. i read that it can be sign of infection or tumer , but i feel ok now i am too worrie again.
my doctor said that it still ok and no need to worrie beacuse its just bit over the normal .

what do you think? i am little worrie
doctor
Answered by Dr. Indranil Ghosh (7 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Yes, not to worry.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

The CRP is only borderline high and it can be explained by diarrhea you had.

This is in no way suggestive of a serious infection, let alone tumor.

Regards.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Brief Answer:
Yes, I meant not tumor.

Detailed Answer:

Sorry, if I was not clear enough. I meant it is not a tumor.

what do you mean by “ let alone tumor” didnt understood ?
you mean not tumor?
thanks

Hi doctor

What considers high in tumor crp level in mg/dl?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Indranil Ghosh (17 hours later)
Brief Answer:
CRP not a good tumor marker.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

We never use CRP as a tumor marker. It's not specific at all. If it is raised beyond 20 mg/dl, without any infection, it might raise suspicion for tumor.

I am eating good , more then i need in order to show my seldf that i gain weight and i keep gain 1 kg and then day after i loose 0.5 kg , my weight is between 91.5-90.5 kg its like this almost month.

Answered by Dr. Indranil Ghosh (8 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Cut down on anxiety.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Thanks for following up.

It seems to me that you are doing quite well. Your weight is stable, your heart rate is normal and reports are normal. Belly cramps can be because of anxiety.

Only thing is this anxiety which is troubling you. I sincerely feel that you should let go of this fear. That will help in you many ways.

Maybe some low dose anxiolytics can help.

Hope this helps.

Hi
do you really think weight is stable , while it goes yp and down in 1.5kg diffrence?
also if something was wrong until now i have been loosing more weight?

why i am still moist at night while i woke up in the night, its not drenching but its moist after wake up from dream?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Indranil Ghosh (12 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Yes, it is stable.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Some day to day variation is expected, this much is acceptable and hence weight is very much stable.

Being moist at the time of waking is also not qualifying as drenching night sweats. It will not need any further evaluation in my opinion.

Take care.
