Brief Answer:
Aldara and imiquimod are the same medicine

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your question

I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

Aldara and imiquimod are the same medicine. Aldara its just a brand created when the manufacturer decided that they will produce imiquimod and call it Aldara.

Using too much Aldara, or using it for too long can increase your risk for severe reactions.
Also, it is not recommended to be used in areas of wounded, broken or burned skin. So I would say to stop it until your skin heals then start it again.

But if your skin its still not tolerating it, you should consult the doctor who prescribed it so he can find an alternative for it, if possible.

Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you need more clarifications.

Brief Answer:
Do not apply on damaged skin.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

The generique imiquimod, has been bought by another manufacturer which makes the same product, with same ingradient, side effect and action, which they decide to call it with another name, and in this case Aldara. So yes, they are the same.

Anyway, the same answer to your question apply - do not use either of them on damage skin.

Hope I have helped a bit.
