Do Effexor And Omeprazole Have Any Effect On HIV Test Results?
I have a question about HIV test , I took a 4th generation HIV test after month an the result was negative.
the reason why I took a test : I brushed my took and I see a few drop of blood on it after 10 min I started to kiss my partner and I was worry about the risk of hiv form kissing. because i dont know she had open wound on her mouth or not , or she is hiv positive.
everyone told me the risk of hiv from deep kissing is negligible but would you please explain for me. Do I need to retake a test at 3 month or not or my test after month is accurate?
Do i need to be worry about it?
by the way my current medication is effexor 27mg and omeprazole. can they effect the result?
Thanks.

Hi
Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.
Welcome to health care magic.I have gone through the details and can make out your anxiety.
HIV is not transmitted by kissing .Theoretically minor bleeding in gums can act as portal of entry of virus, if exposed to virus. But the chances are remote.
It is good that the 4th generation test after 1 month exposure is negative. Though not conclusive, the chances of tests becoming positive later is almost nil.
You can go for antibodies test after 3 months to have conclusive results.
The drugs do not effect the test results. So you can allay fears.
You can get back to me for any clarifications.
