Brief Answer:
No

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

Anti-seizure medications such as Keppra and Vimpat do not cause any increase in white blood cell (WBC) counts. A slight decrease in WBC count may be seen at times.

On the other hand, WBC count may increase after a seizure.

In this case, the most likely cause of increased WBC count could be a bacterial infection.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,

Brief Answer:
Are there signs of infection?

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

Are there signs of infection, such as fever, headache, cough, burning while passing urine, etc. If yes, then, a course of antibiotics may be taken.

On the other hand, if there are no signs of infection, then, these blood tests may be repeated after 10-14 days.

Best wishes,
