Question: my mother has 90% blockagae in RCA
is it pssible to cure it by medicine
she is also suffering from high B.P and DIABITIES
she can not sleep without tablet
Answered by Dr. Gopi A 27 hours later

I have noted the details of your mothers health.

As mentioned by you she has a 90% block in the RCA. Blockages are due to build up of fat in the arteries and these blocks cannot be dissolved by medicines. If the artery is large and if she is symptomatic she may need an angioplasty regarding which your cardiologist would be able to advise you. Medicines may help her to get some relief from symptoms. The medicines being taken by her appear to be appropriate except for the fact that I notice that her haemoglobin level is less and she is not on any medications for that for which I suggest you speak to your physician about it.

Hi again,

can my mother live better by taking medicine and without going for angioplasti
what food she should avoid
can she do pranayam
Answered by Dr. Gopi A 23 hours later

Looking at the severity of the block I would opine that she will be better off doing the angioplasty. She should avoid fatty food like ghee, butter, fried items, red meat etc. She can do Pranayam.

I am 47, 5'7", 138 lbs in good health. Each night when I go to bed, I lay on my stomach. My heart thud sfor about 30 seconds and then is normal and then keeps repeating . It is happening more often. What could that be? My brother is 49 and has 6 stents in place so heart troubles run in the family.

I went through a kidney infection (caused by a blocked kidney stone) and then septic shock. I am recovering nicely at home. I was very lucky. For about 3 weeks now I have some numbness in my left butt check and depending on how I sit my tailbone (coccyx) is sore. i asked the urologist if putting a stent between my kidney and bladder would cause this and he said no. Since I was in bed for quite a few days he said it might be the way I was sleeping. The stent was removed about 2 weeks ago but the numbness remains and also the sore tailbone. I am returning to work after being off work for 8 weeks and would like for this to get better. Any ideas on what would cause this as I can only see my specialist in a few weeks.
