Question: Dear Team,
Please confirm prognosis of this case.
CHARAT SINGH/DOB: 3/10/16.
•     Recurrent UTI since 6 months.
•     Bilateral Vesico uretric reflux.
•     Grade V on right.
•     Grade IV on left
•     Renal dynamic scan dated 15/11/2017 revealed differential function of 86 % in left kidney and 14% in right kidney (severely impaired functioning right kidney).

Prognosis is not so bad

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

bilateral Vur is a common genetic malformation. needes to be managed by,

antibiotics to contron infection.

as the child grows the grade of vur will decrease.

may need reimplantation operation for the ureters.

the decision for surgury should be taken by the treating uro surgeon. my sincere advice is be in followup of a qualified doctor who deals with such patients.

long term prognosis will depend on serum creatinine values.

but dont loose hope.
