Brief Answer:
It is difficult to say.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

There is some possible relation between your symptoms related to muscles spasms and level of spinal surgery ( these spasms may happen adjacent to the operation site, but, in the other hand, MS is a well known possible cause of muscles spasms especially in cases of no well defined pattern.

There is no relationship with your anxiety issues and surgery, so, you should not worry about it.

If muscles spasms improve after correct MS treatment and follow a relapsing/ remitting pattern, MS is the most likely cause.

If muscles spasms improve after physical therapy and muscles relaxing drugs, then there may be relationship with surgery.

Discuss with your Doctor about these issues.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
