Could Bruises On My Upper Thigh Indicate Signs Of XML?
Question: Good morning.
I have cause to be concerned about a recent episode of bruising on my upper thighs. I will attach photos for your review.
The bruising occurred randomly, and without any known bumping or falling. I saw my Nurse Practitioner on Tuesday, the day after Memorial Day. They had been there for 4 days prior to my office visit. They have not changed as of this date.
Blood tests revealed that I have anemia. NP ordered further blood work. I hope to get the result later today.
I had an opinion from an Oncologist on this site who suggested I have a bone marrow biopsy & aspiration test. He suspects CML.
Obviously, I am worried. Based on the information I provide, do you agree with his conclusion?
I failed to mention that I experience night sweats. I do use more blankets than most, and I use the ceiling fan during these times. The night sweats leave me drenched.

Brief Answer:
Bruising
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking
I would advise you to wait for the results of the tests you have made.
There are a lot of reasons for this situation
1-Low Platelet Count (Thrombocytopenia)
2-Factor X Deficiency
3-Chronic Kidney Disease
4-CML
5-Vit C deficency
6-Medications etc
Also for your night sweats the efexore can have this side effect .
In my opinion you should wait for the results tests, till then you should not have any conclusion for your diagnosis
The bone marrow biopsy and aspiration test should be done in the case that your doctor will need further exams for the diagnosis
Best regards

Thank you, Dr. Sera.
I have been somewhat consumed with fear. I will try to think positively until I receive further testing/confirmation from physician.
