Brief Answer:
may help if due to infection

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Ear pain can be due to different causes such as: (1) ear infection- if this is the cause of your ear pain then the antibiotics should help treat it.

(2) trauma

(3)referred pain from the mouth- if there are problems in the mouth , the pain can be referred to the ear in some cases.
This means that the pain can be related to the tooth (if there is any infections of the gums or surrounding tissues) , particularly if the pain is on the same side as the problem tooth.

(4)excess cerumen (Ear wax)

(5)foreign body in the ear

(6) sinus infection or allergies- if related to sinus infection (though other sinus symptoms would be present), then the antibiotics would also help

(7)mass in the ear

You can still have the procedure done as scheduled even if the pain is persisting though it may have resolved by that time.

You can consider the use of pain killers to help reduce your discomfort.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
